Enterprise accelerator EnergySpin, organized for the second time, invites startup companies seeking international growth to submit their applications to join. The new accelerator program begins in April in Vaasa.
The first program in fall 2017 was a huge success and provided the companies participating in it concrete benefits for their business operations.
“As you can guess by its name, the Accelerator accelerates the growth of startups,” says Marko Koski, Head of EnergySpin. “Our goal is to quickly capitalise on innovations so that the entire cluster of energy know-how, known as EnergyVaasa, will benefit from them.”
The ten-week-long Accelerator programme includes company-specific training for business growth planning, product development, commercialization, marketing and communications, and especially financing. The programme is free for the companies selected to participate.
“All startup companies in the energy sector are welcome to apply, as well as startup enterprises in fields linked to the energy sector, such as digitalization, IoT, big data, blockchain, cybersecurity and gamification,” Koski explains.
An essential part of the Accelerator training programme is meeting others in the field, networking and also guidance towards making beneficial contacts. The growth paths of the companies selected to join will be supported by business coaches. A network of mentors will also be assembled to help the enterprises thrive.
“EnergySpin offers startups a fabulous opportunity to get a real impression of the prospects of the Vaasa region energy cluster. The Accelerator also aims to strengthen an enterprise’s preconditions for creating the innovations of the future,” Marko Kuokkanen, the Key Account Manager for EnergySpin, explains.
Ten companies will be selected for the accelerator program beginning in April. Applications will be accepted until the 9th February 2018.
