TaiwanPlus, the global news and infotainment streaming platform, will feature coverage of the speaker of the Czech Parliament’s lower house’s visit to Taiwan during March 25-30. The speaker, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, will lead the largest Czech delegation, with nearly 150 officials and business leaders, to ever visit the island nation.
TaiwanPlus correspondents will cover the high-level visit, during which Pekarová Adamová is expected to meet with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen and address Taiwan’s legislature. Other events aimed at deepening bilateral business exchanges include a 36-hour “ideathon” organized by the Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber and Startup Kitchen. The Czech parliament speaker’s visit follows on the heels of a phone call between President Tsai and Czech President Petr Pavel in January.
TaiwanPlus CEO Michael Yu said: “The visit to Taiwan by Czech Speaker Pekarová Adamová signifies Taiwan’s increasingly prominent role in world politics, as well as the global economy. Our news coverage of her visit, along with the Czech business delegation, further demonstrates TaiwanPlus’ commitment to providing a trusted and authentic voice from Asia and sharing Taiwan’s perspectives on events that matter to Taiwan and the world.”
The Dumplings Hack 1.0.1 ideathon, to be held March 25-26 in Taipei, will gather software developers, entrepreneurs, data scientists, and UX/UI experts from both Taiwan and Czechia in a competition to develop tailor-made solutions in emerging industries, from AI/IoT and e-mobility to nanotechnology. TaiwanPlus Deputy CEO Bimal Kapoor will be among the ideathon judges.
